Speed Modulation

The UNIMEC speed modulation gears are mechanisms responding to the principle of planetary reduction, the only difference being that the external wheel rather than being integral with the body, is held up by a worm or so called correction screw.

As a function of the rotational direction of the worm screw of correction and as a consequence of the rotation of the wheel in the planetary unit, and exploiting the principle of the algebraic sum of motion, it is possible to give additional speed to the already existing drive. The Speed Modulation Gears are ideal for carrying out the necessary corrections between the various phases of work in graphic and several work stations. The application of the modulation gears conveyor belts and feeding lines consents the synchronization of movements with extreme precision. Another important application is the use of the modulation gears as continuous speed variators. It is therefore possible, for example, on production lines, to vary the speed in one or more stations to obtain constant rates of delivery. Three versions and numerous variants constitute a vast range offering a wide application to the prospective designer. Besides the standard models, UNIMEC can also supply special modulation gears specifically
