Technical Data

Screw Jacks

Their high reliability, practically maintenance free designs and their simplicity of use, render mechanical worm gear screw jacks ideal for the most demanding and variable working conditions. They can be used for hoisting, pulling, lining up or moving within permissible applications. As well as being used individually, they can be mounted in systems to offer perfect synchronization even with unbalanced loads. Their particular construction makes them absolutely irreversible and therefore once the input shaft has stopped they remain in position without the need for brakes etc., even when the load is applied to the spindle. Having a completely machined body with double guides makes all types of mounting arrangements possible. Applications with electric, pneumatic and hydraulic motors are within our range.

MODELS

"TP" WITH MOVING SPINDLE.
Rotation of the driving shaft is transformed into a straight axial displacement of the spindle by the worm wheel. However, the spindle must have a point of reaction to stop rotation.

"TPR" WITH ROTATING SPINDLE AND MOVING SCREW NUT.
On this type, the spindle is keyed to the worm wheel. Spindle rotation takes place when the input shaft rotates. The screw nut, which is firmly coupled to the load, causes the displacement.

END TERMINALS
In order to match different applications, various standard end fittings are available. Special end fittings can be manufactured on request.

SPINDLES
Standard spindles are manufactured in carbon steel and with single start threads, as per DIN 103. They can be supplied in a maximum length of 6 metres. Multi start threaded and/or stainless steel spindles are available on request.

GUARDS & BELLOWS
To prevent dust and foreign bodies entering the assemblies, various guards can be used. For type TP, there is a steel tube at the bottom and nylon bellows at the top. For the type TPR, only bellows are used.

OPTIONS
In addition to the basic screwjack, the following standard options and features are available.
